Dr. Montes is a past Chief of
the OB/GYN department at Frye Hospital. She is very active
in the community with regard to women's health care and has
been a thought leader with regard to the development of the
women's breast health and women's heart health programs at
Frye Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in
Obstetrics and Gynecology and has privileges at both Frye
Regional Medical Center and Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Being of hispanic origin herself, Dr. Montes feels a real
connection with the hispanic community. She has spent many
years learning to speak spanish, and has a large hispanic
patient population.
Her greatest aspiration, is that she provides only one
level of medical care.....SUPERIOR.....to any woman who
walks through her doors. And along this vein, she has been
named as an Honored Lifetime Member of Biltmore Who's Who
Registry of Executives and Professionals as well as
"Outstanding Woman of
Catawba Valley” by the League of Women Voters in
2008
